The following three recruitment positions are open on a long-term basis

1.Postdoctoral Fellows (2 positions)

(1) Research Focus: Carbon markets, electricity trading, optimization of distributed energy systems, energy system modeling.

(2) Requirements: Ph.D. in Economics, Management, Environmental Science, Energy Engineering, or related fields. Experience in applying for research projects; excellent communication and teamwork skills. Priority will be given to candidates with high-quality publications and study or research experience abroad. Postdoctoral fellows must focus on the team’s research projects after joining..

(3) Compensation:

①The postdoctoral position is offered for a two-year term with a comprehensive annual salary starting from 330,000 RMB (including postdoctoral living allowances from Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City). Social insurance and housing provident fund will be provided in accordance with Shenzhen regulations. Welfare benefits for postdoctoral researchers are offered based on the standards for university faculty and staff. Exceptionally outstanding candidates may apply for the President's Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship, with an annual salary exceeding 500,000 RMB (including postdoctoral living allowances from Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City).

②Guangdong Province provides eligible in-service postdoctoral researchers with a total living allowance of 300,000 RMB (pre-tax) per person, while Shenzhen City offers a total living allowance of 120,000 RMB (pre-tax) per person, both disbursed over a period of 24 months.

③During the term, postdoctoral researchers may apply for Shenzhen public rental housing through the university. Those who do not utilize Shenzhen public rental housing through the university are eligible for a housing subsidy of 2,800 RMB per month (pre-tax) for two years.

④Excellent working conditions and opportunities for domestic and international academic exchange are provided. Postdoctoral researchers will receive a total of 25,000 RMB in academic exchange funding over the two-year term.

⑤The research team will assist eligible postdoctoral researchers in applying for postdoctoral talent programs. If successfully awarded, recipients may enjoy subsidies of up to 1 million RMB in total (this cannot be concurrently received with the Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City in-service postdoctoral living allowances).

⑥Postdoctoral researchers who remain in or relocate to Shenzhen for full-time work within six months after completing their term and sign a labor (employment) contract of three years or longer with an enterprise or institution will receive a post-station living allowance of 360,000 RMB per person from the Shenzhen Municipal Government (subject to the latest Shenzhen application requirements).

⑦Outstanding postdoctoral researchers who receive the Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program or the Special Funding from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation during their term and sign a labor (employment) contract of three years or longer with the city within six months after completion will receive additional funding from the Shenzhen Municipal Government matching the national funding at a 1:1 ratio, up to 300,000 RMB (subject to the latest Shenzhen application requirements).

⑧Postdoctoral researchers who win gold, silver, or bronze awards in national or Guangdong Province postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and sign a labor (employment) contract of three years or longer with the city within six months after completion will receive additional innovation and entrepreneurship rewards from the Shenzhen Municipal Government matching the national and provincial award amounts at a 1:1 ratio, up to 200,000 RMB (subject to the latest Shenzhen application requirements).

⑨According to Article 39 of the "Shenzhen Postdoctoral Work Management Regulations," the funding items specified in these provisions cannot be concurrently enjoyed with the Shenzhen Newly Introduced Doctoral Talent Living Subsidy (100,000 RMB).

 2.Ph.D. Students (2 positions)
(1) Major Requirements: Management Science and Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Energy Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or related fields.

(2) Additional Requirements: At least one SCI paper published during the master’s program. Priority will be given to candidates with high-quality research publications.

  3.Research Assistant (1 position)

      Master’s degree or higher in Environmental Economics or Environmental Management. Priority will be given to candidates with research experience related to carbon markets.
