\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0From November 22 to 24, 2019, the \u201c2019 New Era Higher Education Environmental Teaching Reform and Innovation Seminar (14th University Environmental Course Report Forum)\u201d was held at Chongqing University. The event was co-organized by the Teaching Steering Committee of Environmental Science and Engineering of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Press. Professor Liu Junguo, Vice Dean of the School of Environment, led a delegation of ten faculty members from the School of Environment to attend the forum.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 During the meeting, renowned scholars and professors in the field of environmental science and engineering, focusing on the theme of \u201cFirst-Class Majors \u3001First-Class Courses \u3001First-Class Textbooks\u201d engaged in extensive exchanges and discussions around topics such as \u201cFirst-class Professional Construction of Environmental Disciplines in the New Era,\u201d \u201cFirst-class Course Construction and Classroom Revolution in Environmental Fields,\u201d and \u201cResearch and Construction of First-class Textbooks in Environmental Disciplines.\u201d Professor Liu Junguo was invited to present a report titled \u201cTeaching Reform and Practice at the School of Environment, Southern University of Science and Technology.\u201d He introduced the educational philosophy, characteristics, and achievements of the School of Environment at Southern University of Science and Technology, analyzed the supporting role of the School\u2019s discipline construction and talent cultivation in Shenzhen\u2019s pilot demonstration area, and proposed thoughts on how to promote first-class professional construction in environmental disciplines and cultivate innovative environmental talents, which attracted significant attention and lively discussion from the audience.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In addition, other faculty members from the School of Environment actively engaged in in-depth exchanges with participating experts, gaining valuable experience for future reforms in professional course settings and content innovation at the School of Environment.<\/p>\n\t
